Made getting our taxes done such a breeze and explained everything down to a T. Highly highly recommend! Our family have been through our fair share of bookkeepers over the years and decided to give Eric and his team ago even though they are located 5 hours away from us and we are extremely happy with the entire process from start to finish !

I am a board member of a 36 unit condominium in Calgary. We used ET Bookkeeping to complete our year-end using QuickBooks, which then get audited. The Google reviews appear very optimistic, so I’m providing a true detailed experience dealing with this company. It was clear from the start that ET Bookkeeping showed very little knowledge of accounting and how transactions should be recorded. The first draft they provided lumped over half the yearly expenses into the bank fees account. Within seconds of reviewing the draft, I knew getting them to complete our books was a mistake. Once completed, the comments we received from the auditor were that we were never to use them again. Our audit cost more than doubled because of the extra work to clean up the mess. We used several bookkeepers in the past with no problems, but ET Bookkeeping required explanations for things they should know. I shouldn’t have to explain the difference between operating and reserve funds, yet they posted several expense items to the reserve account when they were operating expenses. They didn't even demonstrate knowledge of using accounts payable and accounts receivable with regards to condo fees and expenses. They actually combined several invoices into one transaction with our plumbing contractor. Anyone with basic knowledge would know not to do this. They accepted the job, so I assumed they should know what they are doing. Wow, was I wrong! Perhaps personal taxes might be okay, but I would not recommend this company to do anything that requires knowledge of bookkeeping on a level where there are revenue and expense transactions that need to be classified properly. Eric was friendly and responded fairly quickly, but really the only thing that matters is the final product. In my opinion they are careless, have no attention to detail, and show a complete lack of understanding of basic bookkeeping concepts. I was suspicious right from the start when they asked for payment up front, a huge red flag that tells me that they probably have had other customers that probably refused to pay after realizing they don't know what they are doing.
