Very good company to work for, as a current employee, former driver and now Operations supervisor I have been with the company for 30 years. I started as a driver straight out of driving school and have never considered working for another trucking company. Ezzell trucking has always been family oriented and they know my children by name one of the many aspects I love about the company. When my husband got sick the owner had a family prayer in the office (we are family).

Well as a ex trainer for Ezzell the pay is shit for the amount of work you have to do. They pay trainers the same as their trainees. You can't expect a raise for 2 years after no made how hard you work. Management expects to much from drivers and expect you to drive some broke down equipment with broke down trailers. Safety meeting are mandatory and they only pay you 25 dollars for an hour and 20 minutes and want you off the clock. They will regularly say we will not pay you if you don’t get your three loads. They don’t care if your sick they will threaten to fire you even if you have a doctors note but management is always out of the office for sickness and doctors appointments. They won’t you to give a two week notice for the ability to use your hard earned PTO time because they are always short staffed. You might as well have your family come and see you while your sitting for 3+hours at the mill waiting to get one load because they won’t let you leave because you never know when the mill will come back up. They only good thing I can say about this job is the trauma bonds you make with other drivers and the fact they just went up to 65 MPH. Do not apply and if you do you most likely won’t make it to see your green shirts.

This was my very first CMV job fresh out of school, this was the worst mistake I could’ve made. After parting ways with this company I thought about not even pursuing truck driving anymore. The office staff is very unprofessional, not understanding at all,they are biased and don’t respect their drivers. You work 6 days a week no holidays off and don’t get sick or have a family emergency. You take off you might not have a job. New drivers rarely make it to their 90 day period, because the truth about the company usually comes out by then. I only stayed as long as I did,because without experience you have to sign a contract to stay for a year. They don’t value the drivers at all and show favoritism often. I worked there for a year and the only people fired were African American who did the same if not less than the rest. Long hours bad pay and no appreciation. DONT APPLY!!Talk with other drivers first…
