Broker named Luke - Doesn't know how to talk to someone over the phone and extremely rude as well. Told me I am giving $3/mile rate - he's right as he's only thinking of miles from pickup place to delivery place. Man, you got to understand that carriers have deadhead miles to cover plus city cost to cover. Carriers are not operating from your place of pickup to place of delivery. It's high time for all those brokers who are thinking that we are quoting high prices. I wish they all get to run a trucking company or work in one. So, they could learn the lesson and treat carriers with the respect. Not just lashes out at them and be abusive. If you would have ever worked in a Trucking company running own trucks - you would have understood what that rate could have come up to. He doesn't even have patience to listen to the reasoning why I gave this rate and disconnects the call.
