I had rental issues that really stressed me out…..even sleepless nights. His knowledge of property law is super. He advised me what to do, offering good guidance with the steps required to succeed. Finally, he resolved the issues for me. Bravo !!! Though at times he did not reply to my questions, I sure know why. He is intimately knowledgeable in the process and must allow time pass in order to get result. He is proactive in my case, watching every move. M. Dubé represented me 2 times in a dwelling repossession case. The first time in 2020 he was excellent and also price wise it was reasonable, considering fact that we had multiple meetings and also went to the court session ($600 deposit and approx. $400 final payment = $1, 000 in total.) The 2nd time however, it was a complete opposite. The deposit went up to $1,600 and was depleted within 2 to 3 consultations. This time it seemed he was les focused, always rushing and not seemed to be capable to understand the case very well – each meeting felt as a 1st one. Then more invoicing came and demands for more money started. Afterwards, I noticed that has had removed an important paragraph from agreement without my approval that caused to irritate the other side. His lawyer instantly filed another court session (now a 3rd one) as a result. Either side did not desire this. After contacting my landlord (the opponent) personally, we both realized that our lawyers got together (colluded) just in order to milk us out of money. Finally my lawyer corrected the mistakes he made, so that finally my opponent could sign. (After seeing this mess and realizing that this will be just a money drain for me, I just agreed to accept the repossession and found a new dwelling). All these electronic gibberish via email cost me around $4,000. Furthermore, there was a total inability on his side to produce a meaningful electronic output – a very low level of skills with MS Word (the level of secondary 2 student at max) Pages were not numbered, not dated; no headers nor footers; neither page breaks were applied so the text was spilling from one page to another... just a total mess... It caused my wife and myself a great deal of stress and anxieties.
