Customer experiences
Flying Monkey is a visual treat to visit, the best looking place on that main street in Barrie! And not only that, they got some fine quality beverages for you to enjoy there OR take home. Now, they already had the best chocolate beer in the market with their Chocolate Manifesto, but they got a seasional chocolate stout sample box you can only really get there?!? I'm all in on that! Not a hard drinker? No worries. Their flavoured seltzers are rather nice too! Haven't had the chance to try the food, but there's always a happy looking crowed and a sweet patio there so i'm sure its pretty good. Cheers!
The beer is spectacular but the food is meh. The service is fantastic. The high chairs and tables are uncomfortable but it was possible to get a different table as there was no crowds in the afternoon on New Year’s Eve due to the weather. With the pickle flatbread/pizza special was on the menu, it was awesome.
We drove up from Oshawa to Barrie to see Francesca Panetta (@singing.hippie) perform live and to check out Flying Monkeys Brewery, and we absolutely loved the entire experience. The brewery itself has such a fun, energetic vibe. The neon atmosphere, the service request light switches, and the live music all made it feel unique and memorable. We enjoyed a few flights of beer and loved being able to sample such a great variety. The nachos were amazing and definitely worth ordering. We also couldn’t leave without picking up some glassware and a few toques as souvenirs. Between the music, the atmosphere, the food, and the beer, it was a fantastic night out. We will definitely be coming back to Barrie for another visit to Flying Monkeys.
First and foremost, I highly recommend doing their free weekend tours. The staff there are really nice, and knowledgeable about their drinks, including the process and factory. We explored the entire back door of the brewery and saw how their drinks and products are made, the history and some other near facts. The restaurant is pretty hip, their beers are packaged in very artistic and abstract Designs which are very eye catching. It's worth stopping by Flying Monkeys if you're visiting the Barrie area!
