We had a very poor experience with Geib, namely Pawel. After almost firing him 2 years ago, we regrouped and I started dealing with James O'Farrel who was great to work with over the last two years Sadly I understand James left Geib and Pawel took over. I suppose Pawel is a decent enough accountant BUT he does not understand QuickBooks, which is why we hired Geib in the first place. Pawel and his team created a minimum of 12 journal entries, which left our bank accounts out by over $100,000. At this point the lack of knowledge became very evident! Besides the cash discrepancy created by bogus journal entries, the work should have been done with one maybe 2 journal entries. Very sloppy and unprofessional work! So, when I questioned why they would do work in such a cumbersome way (13 journal entries), Pawel refused to offer a legitimate answer and suggested there was now a breakdown in our relationship. I suppose at this moment there was no doubt he was correct, I would call it loss of confidence. One way to put it, this fellow would drive around for 3 days before admitting he was lost. I won't have that type of guy doing our accounting. Live and learn. We move on now..... Good luck to all

I have been trying to find an accounting firm with Geib & Company's holistic approach and comprehensive skill set for years! My taxes involve personal and corporate Canadian and American taxes. Nathan and his team took a holistic view of my situation. This was a first for me. I've used expensive big firms in the past that said they would do this, but ended up outsourcing my Canadian taxes to another Canadian firm and sending my US taxes to a branch office in New York without any idea of the big picture! In contrast, Geib made sure to do my Canadian corporate first to gather the necessary information for my US taxes and then did my Canadian and US together for optimal results. When I've gone to smaller firms, they ended up billing me for "research" to understand my situation and applicable rules! It's incredibly refreshing to have this kind of expertise available! In addition, I received a lot of advice and pointers during my meetings with them to optimize future years. I can't say enough good things about the firm. If you have US tax obligations or want your whole life addressed with a holistic, comprehensive approach, Nathan Geib is your guy!
