Fortis Mortgage is awesome. They told me what information they needed and provided me with a link to update my documents securely! The whole process was very fast. The only holdup was me! I had pushed the timeline out for the appraisal, but Shawn was still able to keep the original settlement date. Shawn and Carin are first class. I had an outstanding experience with Fortis Mortgage and would highly recommend them to anyone considering buying a home (or refinancing) for several reasons. 1) Shawn, Carin, and the Fortis Mortgage team are very knowledgeable about the mortgage process and were able to answer all of my questions. 2) They took the time to explain everything to me in a way that I could understand, which made me confident that they genuinely wanted *ME* to be successful. 3) The housing market has taken several unexpected turns recently but Fortis never made me feel like I was asking a stupid question, and they were always willing to go over things again if I needed to understand something better. 4) Fortis did an excellent job of finding the right mortgage for me. They took the time to understand my financial situation and needs, and they worked with me to develop a strategy to get me in the home that I wanted and was in my budget. 5) The Fortis team is very professional, organized, and on top of things. They kept me updated on the progress of my application, were responsive to my inquiries, and always got back to me promptly. I never had to wait more than a few hours for a response, even when I contacted them outside of business hours. 6) Most importantly, not once during the entire process did I ever feel like my home purchase was just another transaction to them. I always felt like Shawn and Carin had my back. I’d give them more stars if I could, but the max is 5.
