Spotted the 'walk in appointments' sign and they fitted me in within half an hour. Absolute bargain price as first customer (£25!). Really decent coffee too. Will definitely be back even though I live miles away. Highly, highly recommended.

Louise DI don't normally write negative reviews but it's been a year since I had my hair disastrously cut here, and it has only just grown enough to undo the damage done by this hairdresser. The hairdresser here used thinning scissors to take huge amounts out of my hair. I have long and thick hair, and I explained to the hairdresser that I don't like any hairs cut very short otherwise it all bounces up and gets frizzy and hard to manage. However, the hairdresser proceeded to use thinning scissors in the most bizarre way I've ever seen, on my dry hair, before washing it and continuing with the hair cut. The thin ing scissors were used to close to my scalp that some hairs were barely an inch longer. As a result, I have had a frizz-ball for the past year and the shortest lengths are only just, just long enough to be managed. At times my hair has looked like a mushroom as it has been heavier up top as it's grown out while the longer lengths are so unbelievably thin. It has shown just how over-thinned my hair was with the scissors. I will now refuse to let any hairdresser use thinning scissors on my hair, and I will insist on a hairdresser not taking the shortcut to damage my hair by cutting it before it's even washed. Yes my hair is thick and can be difficult to manage, but I can't be the first person with difficult hair to walk into this salon and I would advise anyone else with thick hair to stay away as I don't believe they understand how it grows and falls. I'm sorry to write such a bad review but the last year has been an awfully slow process to repair the damage and I have spent many many months despising the way my hair made me look. The salon staff are friendly but I sadly will not be returning.
