Lovely shop has everything we need for running a successful business, but yesterday I was absolutely astounded that the two young female members of staff were literally looking me up and down clearly talking about me because I had short gym shorts on, it was a very hot day and they just made me feel so judged and uneasy to the point 1 followed me and was pretending to fold something! I’ve never been made to feel so uncomfortable to the point that I left the shop, very obnoxious attitude shown towards me! It’s actually quite upsetting that you walk into a shop and are made to feel like this! Local supply for us but think we will stick to online from now on!

I went into the Franklins store in Salisbury for the first time today, 7th June 2025. Wanted to upgrade my sewing machine. I had been looking on the internet and had a couple of machines in mind. I asked to speak with someone regarding a purchase and advice. I was fortunate enough to speak to Neil who gave me some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. Nothing asked was too much trouble to explain. He made me feel very valued as a customer. He demonstrated everything the machine could do. Whether I remember it all is another matter. I ended up purchasing the Britannia T190. I have worked with the public myself so know how much it can take and just wanted to give Neil the high recommendation he rightly deserves. A real credit to the company

As always, my goto for sales n servicing. This time my Singer 1930’s (ish) hand cranked Singer99. Purchased around 10yrs ago from previous owner but was obvious they never had it professionally serviced. Took it into Franklins for full service n repair. I thought it ran smoothly like a dream before Franklins serviced it but how wrong I was. It now glides effortlessly through material, an absolute joy to use, and WOW what an amazing machine to use now Franklins have worked their magic. The attention to detail, taking time to source replacement parts and the concern they had that I was happy with their work before allowing me to take it home. They showed me a little trick how to do a minor adjustment should a spring come lose in the future, demonstrated the machine and explained what they did. Even cleaned and polished the big flywheel - a job I was dreading as it was all pitted with rust spots! But now it gleams. Well done Franklins service team - you’ve excelled as always!
