This company is fantastic! I highly recommend them. Matt was responsive and came through in a pinch at the last minute when there was a hiccup with some of my moving supplies. He sent Brian and Cody out for the loading job. These guys were energetic, upbeat, and had a very “can do” attitude! They wrapped my valuable furniture very well, were incredibly respectful of my home and property and did a fantastic job!! Who thought loading a moving truck could be this stress free and pleasant?! The Not a Hobby Moving team made it a very pleasant experience!
I was weary of all moving companies to be honest, because you hear the horror stories of high expenses, damaged furniture, and poor workers moreso than you hear the positive stories. But I’m very happy with Not A Hobby Moving. Justin and Jordan wasted no time and were very efficient. Never at any point did it feel like they were dragging their feet or purposely moving slow. All of our furniture was picked up and transported in pristine condition. Their rates are very fair too. My wife and I spent most of the week prior to Moving Day transporting as much that we could ourselves to our new house so we only really had heavy items and a few small things left for the movers when they came. But they were still impressively able to package and transport a 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment that included two beds (1king, 1 queen), two dressers, three night stands, two TVs, a dining room table, 6 chairs, 3 barstool chairs, patio furniture, and a couch in a solid 3-4 hours. Along with a plethora of Christmas decorations and other smaller items. All this came out to about $650+ which I think was worth every penny. Honestly I was worried about getting price gouged $2-3k so I was extremely happy with the rate. I cannot recommend these guys enough. My wife also says the owner of the company who she dealt with more than me was very open and honest and the most impressive of the other 4 companies she quoted prior to us choosing Not A Hobby. I thank Not A Hobby for easing my concerns about movers and I will always recommend them to those in need of moving.
It was very easy to communicate with them. Matt explained everything over the phone, and was able to accommodate my preferred moving date. Andrew and KJ were super kind and careful with my things, even though they were up and down the stairs of a 3rd floor apartment. They managed to move a very heavy sleeper couch into the room I intended, and they carried a treadmill upstairs that was already at the new place. I'm very grateful and I would definitely use their services again.
Hired Not a Hobby Moving Company to help us move our 2br apartment this past weekend. We’ve never used a moving company before and though we were a little apprehensive at first, we were so glad we did it and would use this company again in the future. This is a very well run service- start to finish. Dom and Cody were sent over and arrived right on time and were both very nice, kind, and professional. You could tell they’ve done this before. This was not an easy move by any means considering the abundance of stairs and our humongous couch. But these guys didn’t fret. Every item was cared for appropriately. You can forget any worries you might have about TVs or nice furniture. Everything was wrapped up with care quickly and arrived at our destination the way it was before it left. We were worried about how they were going to tackle some of the furniture that needed disassembling and reassembling and we were shocked at how that was probably the easiest part for them. I really liked the attention to detail when placing items where we would want them in our new apartment- it was nice to see that everything was centered how I liked and mirrored the placement of our last apartment, without any instruction from me…very experienced and thoughtful. We couldn’t have survived this move without these guys!
