We conducted some preventative maintenance work for Funk and every single person we interacted with was fantastic! If you have a chance to work with them, we would highly recommend it.

Today Corey and Renee came Timely to connect electricity from new well to house. they manually dug so that I did not have to tear down my fence. (Thank goodness, they saved me money) They worked for several hours and kept my pups happy. Corey explained to me in layman terms what had been completed and if I had any questions, in addition he noticed my dryer hose had come off he replaced. Kyle Funk (owner of Funk Electric) and linemen, Jacob and David went above and beyond, performing impressive work setting a 35-foot utility pole anchored 10 feet deep in my back yard in Lehigh, KS. Funk Electric has their own pole truck and auger and bucket, making them more versatile and affordable than their competitors. Kyle Funk put the massive auger right on the dime and dug a perfectly plumb 10-foot hole. Kyle and his crew have great attention to detail. They raked the pole stlightly to counteract the weight of the lines from the transformer. Jacob and David also installed a new 200-amp meter with new outdoor breaker box, including a 50-amp generator hook up with breaker lockout plate. They installed new wiring in new conduit on the pole, and a new LED dusk-to-dawn yard light with manual switch. The yard light is brighter than the street lights and only draws 60 watts. Jacob and David reinforced the service line attachments to my house and garage with industrial grade standoff eye bolts far stronger than the previous attachments. The quality of workmanship of Kyle and his crew is top notch! They swaged and insulated every line connection perfectly and took extra care to ensure nothing would rub or wear in wind and weather. I am one extremely happy customer! Hire these guys! They have decades of field experience, great customer sevice, and they excel in skill and craftsmanship! Thank you for your awesome work!

I’m not a client of Funk-I don’t even live in Kansas. I wanted to write this review because of an experience I had with several employees and the owner and office team that I think speaks volumes about the character of these folks. My son and I are driving my vintage car from Chicago to California, taking two lane highways. Before going, I purchased a set of new tires for it. As it turns out, the tubes for these tires proved to be defective. We had two spare with us but used both of those by the time we’d entered Kansas. We got our third flat in newton, and pulled into a spot to install a new tube ( this meant removing the tire from the actual wheel, installing a new tube, and reinstalling the tire, on the roadside. This happened after an all night 500 mile drive so I was pretty beat by this point. The safe place I found to do this work at happened to be just down the road from Funk Electric. Nearly every one of their employees stopped and offered help as they left the shop for their work day. The owner also stopped and offered help. We were doing well enough until I found my air pump didn’t work. Their office staff found a compressor and got our tire filled up, and a friend of theirs, Jerry, put us in touch some folks that might have some spare model A Ford tires and wheels. Thank you to the team At Funk Electric, who had no monetary gain, for taking the time to help and generally lift my mood-I went from being frustrated at the situation to being grateful for it as I was able to meet these nice people. Again, no money to be made, they saw someone who might need a hand and offered it genuinely. If I was living in Kansas, these guys would be my electricians. As the owner of a trade company myself, I am happy to see a company out there that cares.

Funk Electric is a electrical installation service.
