They knowingly sell furniture that is not fit for it's intended use and they know it will fall apart. This is contrary to the Sale of Goods Act. Under the Sale of Goods Act stores have a legal obligation to their customers, regardless of whether the product came with a specific warranty or guarantee. Stores are legally required to sell products that are suitably fit for their purpose, that the product sold must function in the way it was supposed to function.I bought a sectional for a one person household that was barely used and many of the seams frayed and split within a few months. Look at other reviews including for Sama Home Furnishings. Check your invoice that they do not write "AS IS" or "FLOOR MODEL" when you are buying a new in box item that they will improperly say they do not need to do anything which is contrary to SGA. Regardless of what you buy or what they write on the invoice the seller is responsible per the Sale of Goods Act. FRAYING IS A DEEMED MANUFACTURER DEFECT. THEY HAVE IGNORED NUMEROUS REQUESTS, CALLS & EMAILS SAYING THEY WILL CALL ME BACK AND NEVER HAVE. LOOK AT OTHER REVIEWS, THE SAME HAS HAPPENED TO OTHERS. REPUTABLE RETAILERS WILL REPAIR, REPLACE OR REFUND IN THIS SITUATION. MR. SAMA ARE YOU GOING TO REPAIR, REPLACE OR REFUND THE SECTIONAL? IN REPLY TO THE OWNERS RESPONSE THIS AN "AS IS" OR "CLEARANCE ITEM" 1) I did not pick up a sectional that had any seams fraying or torn 2) I was given a new unopened box with a new sectional that you loaded onto my truck 3) The sofa you gave me had no seams that were frayed or torn, hence the defect is not an "as is" or "clearance" issue 4) The seams frayed and tore within a few months of one person sitting on the sofa who was barely at home since they travel for work 6) A sofa is intended to be used to sit on without the seams fraying or ripping within a few months 5) Per the Sale of Goods Act notwithstanding whatever you put on your invoice or whether it is stated there is or there is no warranty or if the manufacturer defect is not covered by the warranty, I am still entitled to compensation by law per the Sale of Goods Act. 7) Under the Sale of Goods Act. Stores have a legal obligation to their customers, regardless of whether the product came with a specific warranty or guarantee. Stores are legally required to sell products that are suitably fit for their purpose, that the product sold must function in the way it was supposed to function. 8) You are knowingly selling products (sectional) that you know will fray with proper use. I have a long list of others this happened to that have complained to you as well. 9) When are you going to repair, replace or refund the sectional?
