Gate Expectations by Inwood (Cymru) Ltd

I have no idea how this company has so many positive reviews. I can only assume they have a very large family. Having spent a kings ransom for a garden gate and a further substantial investment finishing and hanging the gate it is no better and perhaps worse than gates ordered locally without the ongoing effort demanded by this company making customers jump through hoops just to place an order. After all the checks and balances to avoid customer errors they supply a gate shorter than ordered and so narrow my carpenter said the door stops supplied with the gate won't work. Very narrow stiles requiring packers to accommodate a ringlatch which can't be properly fitted to the stiles as they are so narrow. The quality of the wood is also low with a rough finish and pitted with tiny holes. Apparently my fault even though the gate is shorter than the supplied measurements. My fault why? Apparently I should have caught their error! Rectification? They expect me to be happy with them remaking the gate whilst I incurr a further £1000 in costs to prepare and hang the gate having already spent over £1700. Easier to start over with a different company. Don't believe the hype. This is not a reputable company. Also they are horribly slippery to deal with.

I had been looking for a gate lock and the product supplied exceeded expectations for quality and value for money. The lock was delivered the following day by courier. Excellent service from the people at Inwood! As you can see the lock is fitted to my new gates and we are very pleased with the service received.

Absolutely brilliant service and a high quality product. We made the mistake of applying a tinted varnish on the large double gates but they still look good. On our small garden gate we applied a clear varnish that really brings out the beauty of the wood. We are planning to replace our side gate later in the year. Definitely recommend using this company.
