We had an issue with one of our refrigerated units in the Nashville area on August 7, 2025. Ben, the service manager, not only provided great discounts on service and unit repairs but also ensured everything was completed the same day. He went above and beyond by sending a driver to deliver the load and arranging for payment to be handled the next day. We're extremely grateful for Ben and his team's exceptional service. Special thanks also to Office Manager Ginger Davis. We highly recommend Ben and his team for their professionalism and efficiency.
Got me in quick, identified issue with poor workmanship at Loves for a PM on my APU, tech told me he replaced the clamps and all was good. APU ran for about 6 minutes when I turned it on 2 days later and didn’t work again until the leak on the fuel line at the new clamp was repaired. Not worth paying for the same job twice.
I wish I could later give this business less than one star, they deserve none. I brought my reefer into Gateway on a Monday. They didn’t get to it that day. On Tuesday they told me what I needed new seals in the compressor that would cost $2500.00 and it would be done the next day. Same on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Late afternoon on the next Monday they said it was ready. When I got there to pick it up it was not ready and the bill was now $9000.00. I was told I needed a new compressor. It was not out, it was still cooling but would need replacing. I couldn’t do a $9000.00 repair on the fly so I told them I would have to hold off on the compressor for a while and just go with the repairs they performed. Even though they had told me it was ready to pick up, it was not actually ready. Now they said they needed till Tuesday morning to get it ready and fill with Freon. Picked it up Tuesday, checked out the unit to make sure it was still cooling and picked up a load on Wednesday. After driving for a while on Wednesday I got out to check out my truck and found out that there was Freon spraying on the back of my truck. I did not have that kind of leak before I took it to Gateway. $2500.00 later and the unit is in worse condition than when I brought it into them. I am not even sure they put in the new seals that I was charged for. Do not take your equipment to Gateway!
