I was a customer of geeks root for 3 years. Thankfully I am no longer and therefore feel free to writer this honest review without the threat of retaliation. Recently, starting Dec 2024 I tried contacting Geeks root to access my word press loggin as it was not working and I needed to update some vital info on my website. I tried emailing and calling for 6 weeks with no response. during this time i was losing valuable new clientele as due to the outdated info my company appeared to the public to no longer be running. There was no voicemail to leave a message with for Geeks root and some emails even got pinged back to me. Feeling very frustrated and confused at this point I posted a Google review stating what I had been experiencing trying to figure out if they were still in existence. Low and behold I received a phone call the next day (Jan 15th 2025) from Geeks root after they clocked my review. They were able to get me access to my word press within 90 mins the same day as it was a simple request. Geeks root took full responsibility on the phone apologising for the inconvenience and time delay to respond to my needs as a customer. From this day onwards however they harassed me several times within the day every day phoning and texting me asking me to remove my ( true and factual ) review from Google claiming it was creating a bad impression for future customers, even though my experience was real to me. I explained I was under no obligation to do this as I had not made any false accusations however they went on to threaten to close down my website from their end if I did not remove my review from Google. I was shocked at this behaviour and blackmail and let them know this re-explaining my stance. I was then due for a weeks personal vacation so put it aside from my mind but was horrified and infuriated to find on my return, when trying to market my company to a prospective new client, that they had indeed removed my website from their hosting space despite me having paid in advance for Geeks root to host my website for another 6 months from that date. When I contacted them to confront them, I was told that I had to edit my review to at least a 4 star or higher or remove it completely in order for them to restore my website for the public to see. Not surprisingly I chose to cut my losses and move to a new hosting space and web developer company that I could trust rather than be manipulated like this and stay with a company I could no longer for see to be professional or trustworthy. I have proof of all these conversations from Geeks Root in writing from them and can provide further details if necessary to anyone interested. My company is called Jumpstart outdoor fitness. when I started working with my new web developers they informed me that my website was built using extremely outdated platforms and versions of Word press and had not been maintained at all for cyber security leaving some issues present. Disappointing experience in my opinion all round - i had originally chosen them because they offered a lower initial rate to build my website over a lot of competitors at the time however, I have learned that there is much more value to choosing partners than this and I now, actually pay significantly less for my current hosting space which allows me to own the rights to my own website so I cannot encounter similar experiences in the future. I am thankful to my current developers for guiding me to this option.

I have been very impressed with their communication and expertise, particularly as a non-technical founder, Geeksroot have always provided detail with their approaches so I understood the process.
