Gentle Dental of Allentown

Gentle Dental is truly a “PAIN”. If I could give a zero rating I would. Please avoid this place at all cost. I was given the insurance coverage cost and the out of pocket cost for a procedure, for which I paid at the time of the appointment. A few weeks after the procedure, I was notified that I had an outstanding balance. When I questioned the bill, the person I spoke to became rude and argumentative, so I ended the call. I called a few days later and spoke to the same person who was rude AGAIN. All I wanted was a clear understanding of why I was given one quote and then AFTER my original payment from insurance and myself, that there was still an outstanding balance. My insurance confirmed to me that they were paid the amount they billed. I feel like this was a “bait and switch” tactic that was never justified. I have no issues with the hygienist or the dentists, but the customer service from the receptionist was not only unprofessional but demeaning. As a customer who can get a cleaning or dental work almost anywhere, I refuse to be treated that way. It’s more about the principle and less about the money. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!

Last month I was a new patient after not seeing a dentist for a couple of years. The office staff was very friendly and efficient with the check in process. First visit got some x-rays done and did a game plan. Ended up having to come back for 3 more visits between getting my cleaning and some fillings. Overall the staff is wonderful and I love how they break down what everything will cost. Dr Lo is great as well he is kind, understanding and explains everything very well.

I had a dental implant done. I love this office. Dr Lo took the time to explain everything thoroughly. He put me completely at ease, was compassionate, knowledgeable, answered all of my questions, was as gentle as possible with the tooth extraction and made the process very patient friendly. Emily, his assistant, was kind, also reassuring and put me at ease, friendly and knowledgeable. Jen, the office manager, was wonderful explaining and checking my insurance coverage. Alexa, the dental hygienist, performed a dental cleaning.She was very friendly, gentle and educated me on my teeth. Everyone in this office in Allentown, is friendly and truly cares about their patients experience! I cannot say enough good things about my experiences here. I have already recommended this office to others.
