I had a horrible experience with Me Charles Desy of Girard Avocats. Hours billed were surprisingly high, so much so that I wondered if he and the opposing lawyer were intentionally creating billable hours between themselves. To make matters worse, I felt attacked by my own lawyer. A lawyer should be supportive of their client, not cause additional stress to an already stressful situation. Moving my business to another firm was the best decision I made. After changing firms, I discovered that Me Desy sues many of his clients. I can easily imagine clients shocked by the number of hours billed and refuse (or unable) to pay. If this review saves one person from the nightmare I experienced with this lawyer, it will have served its purpose.
