Our daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes almost 3 years ago. We have been looking for a service dog to help us manage her care, but the cost seemed astronomical. We were introduced to Glad Wags in November 2024 and matched with an amazing dog in December. We first met him in March and in May 2025 he came home with us. Marj and the Glad Wags family do not sugar coat things. They are up front about training, schedules, difficulties you may encounter, and so on. They really do put their heart and soul into these animals. Marj can remember every dog she has ever trained. She remembers each client and their "special ability", not disability. Marj continues to work with you and your dog. The process is never over. It's not a "deliver a service and good luck", her and her team are there for you even after the service animal hand off. We feel incredibly blessed to have found Marj and Glad Wags. We appreciate the honesty, compassion, and commitment that this group has. They are in it for US, not to make money and that means so much to those of us that already spend so much on health care. Please consider reaching out to this amazing group. If not to train with them, to donate to an amazing organization who is genuinely there to help people find more independence with the help of a service dog.

Marj's proven, intuitive understanding of dogs has helped our service dog come a long way. Some would say she is a very strong willed dog, and others may have given up on her-- but Marj saw that she was capable of incredible focus, and given the right instruction she has thrived in her career as a service dog.

I had an unruly puppy I brought in for board and train. After he finished his stay, I was going to classes with him to continue his training. A few months into training, he began alerting (I didn’t initially need him as a service dog, he began alerting on his own). Marge immediately recognized his alerts and asked if I was ok and I said I didn’t feel “right” but didn’t know what was happening. I went to the doctor, and found out I was sick. The training my pup had received taught him to recognize my illness and take care of me even before I knew I was sick. My puppy was then retrained as an actual medical alert service dog, and he continues to recognize and alert me before I need my EpiPen to stop anaphylactic reactions. He has saved me several times by his alerts that something bad is coming. Without his amazing training, I’m sure I would have been hospitalized more than a few times now. He also recognizes migraines before they begin, and makes sure I take medicine to minimize the effects or completely stop the migraine. Glad Wags has taught him to alert me in different ways so I know what he is telling me and which medications I need long before I have to use the heavy duty meds (EpiPen), so I can avoid having to go to the hospital each time. Even my doctor is amazed at how well he predicts my medical crisis long before it actually becomes a crisis. This never would have happened without Glad Wags and Marj’s expertise at training him. I so much appreciate how well she first taught us to work together at first just to have good manners and stop destroying my house as a puppy, but now as my faithful companion who, no doubt, has saved my life. I cannot say enough good things about Marj and her training. Whether you need puppy obedience training, or a full blown medical alert service dog, put Marj’s experience to work for you!! My puppy grew from eating my couch, destroying my house on a regular basis, and a bitey little monster to my best companion and lifesaver, all because I found Marj and reached out for help and training!!!

I was impressed with Marj's ability to work with the dogs. Even more impressed at her ability to teach others to work with the dogs. She has a God-given talent. She has helped to support and restore my daughter's confidence to work with her service dog. She shares many years of knowledge and experience.
