hired Go2Guys for a renovation at my home and was pressured to pay 50% of the project cost upfront by e-transfer. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely stressful and disappointing. The work completed was minimal, failed multiple inspections, and left me with deficiencies to fix at my own cost. Framing and finishing had to be redone by other trades, meaning I essentially paid twice for the same work. Even basic details — like installing OSB boards to line up with existing walls — were done incorrectly and never corrected. The vapour barrier failed inspection twice. Communication was poor and often contradictory. I was told one thing, only to later find the opposite was true. Despite repeated requests, I was never provided receipts, wage records, or a proper breakdown of where my deposit was spent. I was left with an unfinished project and a large portion of my deposit unaccounted for. Workers openly admitted they weren’t paid properly, were pulled from job to job without materials or clear plans, and often left early. This resulted in wasted time, higher costs, and long delays. I’ve had to send formal demand letters, file complaints with consumer protection agencies, and consider legal action to try to recover my money. This caused unnecessary financial loss, stress, and major project delays. Based on my experience, I strongly caution anyone considering this company: – Get everything in writing – Don’t advance large deposits without receipts – Verify inspection records before paying Many of their positive reviews appear to come from staff, not customers. Please do your research before hiring. I wish I had.

Go2guysinc did my roof over 10 years ago. A couple of shingles had blown over in the wind storm last week. They did the siding last year but the same storm lifted a peace of siding as well. For me, they are really Go2guys! I reported Friday but they had already closed so I sent them an email. They responded on Monday and it’s all fixed up Tuesday morning. I recommend them for any of your home repair needs. Thanks go2guys! 👍🏻

They did complete the job which they were paid to do, it was decent but it was not great and missing craftsmanship. There were a number issues with the project: 1. They did not honour the quote which they submitted for the job, we had to pay an extra $500 because they didn't account for screws. 2. There were many deficiencies (over 20) which I had to identify, and not caught by any quality control process, and they did fix them, but most didn't last more than 2 years. 3. The vinyl siding installed on side of my house is not level, it looks like a wave in the ocean when looking at it from the sidewalk. 4. There was frequent turnover in the crew working on my home. 5. This is another cost cutting issue/craftsmanship issue. When making a frame around exterior light fixtures they did straight cuts instead of mitred edges. When there would be an 8' section of trim they would use 2 pieces of scrap instead of one 8' piece. 6. The primary sub-trade who worked on my home approached me 2 years later saying he wasnt paid for the job and hinted that he would sabotage my house, and that he slashed the siding and vinyl decks of other homes he worked on and wasnt paid for by Go 2 Guys. I'm sure there were more red flags but this is the stuff that stands out 3 years after the job.
