Customer experiences
This Gym made me frustrated situation with an non-permit payment from my bank account during 2 years while just have one year bi weekly contract. I have never attended!!!! Why I should pay continuously?!? Funny part is after expiring my Visa Card they send owing amount to collections and they send claim from no where for what?!? After lots of back and forth through email I went in person but the recipient just has some new excuse!!!! Nobody died for $600 owing amount. But why I should pay?!? Is there any minus star for their customer service!!!!!
I recently visited Gold’s Gym in the UBC area to inquire about a yearly membership. The front desk staff member, Arthur, was very rude when I asked if I could have a quick look inside the gym, he refused because I didn’t have my ID in that moment with me, even though I suggested he could simply show it to me for 10 seconds himself. He declined again, in an unfriendly manner. When Arthur went inside, I asked another staff member at the desk about the membership prices and plans, but he told me he didn’t know anything about the sales there, which made me wonder why he was even at the front desk. Overall, it was a terrible experience. I won’t be going back, and I’m glad I got my one-year membership elsewhere instead. I definitely do not recommend this location of Gold’s Gym.
The staff are super friendly and always willing to help. However, the gym is always hot—whether it's the middle of winter or peak summer—and the air quality could really use improvement. It’s also consistently busy, and you often have to wait just to get a bench.
It gets the job done as a gym, decent selecition of machines. However for the price it isn't worth it. It is very expensive and it is a very basic gym for that price. No included PT sessions. The AC isn't cool enough either and still gets warm in there. It's the only real private gym option on campus which is why people go but its expensive and mid.
Gold's Gym University MarketPlace is a gym.
