Our family and friends have been loyal clients of Impôt Marino for several years. In the past, their service was excellent, and we were happy to recommend them to our circle, keeping a glowing 5-star review up on Google Reviews (since 2020). Unfortunately, it seems that the quality of their service has steadily declined over the years. This year, however, was the tipping point that compelled me to share our full experience. We arrived early in the morning and were first in line. The issues began when they mistakenly presented us with someone else's documentation. When we pointed out the error, we were left standing in the cubicle for 25 minutes without explanation. Concerned about the potential mishandling of our important papers, I inquired but was met with rudeness. Instead of addressing my worries, I was dismissed and told to "be patient," with one staff member raising their voice and comparing our wait time to that of other clients. At the 45-minute mark, another employee arrived with a vague explanation about a mix-up, a review process, and printer delays. After 30 more minutes reviewing our data, we noticed entry errors—which could have cost us a significant amount of money—we finally completed the process at the 60 minute mark. The most disheartening part of the experience came later that day when I received a phone call from one of the staff members about our recent review. Instead of addressing the situation professionally, they were confrontational and aggressive, demanding we edit a review my wife had written. The worker accused us of lying and warned us that we might need to find another accountant next year if we didn’t comply. Their tone was dismissive and rude, cutting me off repeatedly, which only reinforced our disappointment in their service. Over the years, we've tolerated mistakes, unclear invoices, and occasional lapses in professionalism, trusting that they would improve. But this experience showed us that their commitment to customer service has eroded beyond repair. It’s sad to see what was once a great business fall so far, but at this point, I can no longer recommend Impôt Marino to anyone. For those looking for reliable tax preparation services, I’d advise exploring other options. Clients deserve respectful communication, accuracy, and a genuine focus on their needs—qualities that are, unfortunately, no longer present here. Thanks for reading.
