Dr.Khoury and her team did an amazing job. The staff was very friendly and courteous. There wasn’t a long wait time to see the doctor. Dr. Khoury was so professional and a great listener and very thorough. She gave me some very good advice that tied together my medical and work life. I will definitely be returning.

I scheduled a physical exam with Dr. Ayesha Khoury. During the exam she changed my reason for the visit without my knowledge. I noticed she was attempting to bill my insurance twice by coding my visit as two separate issues even though i was there for a physical exam alone. She coded the visit for an office visit and another for a physical. I began inquiring what to expect as far as billing since she took blood and urine but never completed the physical exam. I was confident it would result in me receiving a random bill in the mail so I began asking questions. When I asked her why she isn’t completing my physical exam and what I should expect on my upcoming bill she called the police. Yes, She called the police. No I was not loud, aggressive, using poor language or doing anything disrespectful. She just randomly called the police. As a young black man living in a predominantly African American community one main reason I chose her to be my doctor was because I wanted someone I felt like I could trust. I am still in shock that a simple billing question would make Dr. Ayesha Khoury contact the local police. Knowing the seriousness and history of police interactions in black communities I can not believe she would choose to respond that way against someone that looks like he could be her son. Above anything else that alone was extremely hurtful and distasteful.I maintained a very stoic attitude the entire time and when I went outside the officer said she does that all the time. (she must have a direct number for the authorities in the shopping center since it happens all the time). I would never advise anyone to go to Dr. Khoury. She is extremely passive aggressive and clearly does not care about the well being of her patients.

Exceptional Experience! I was pleasantly surprised to discover this location so close to my home. While the facility is on Hank Aaron Drive, the entrance is actually at the back, accessible by driving toward the parking lot as if heading to Publix. It took me a moment to figure that out. The facility is impeccably clean, and the staff was incredibly welcoming, professional, and courteous. My appointment was with Dr. Michael Fortson, who was punctual, highly knowledgeable, and professional, with a great sense of humor. I could tell he had thoroughly reviewed my medical history before our visit, which I truly appreciated. Anytime I struggled to articulate something, he immediately understood and provided the answers—demonstrating both his expertise and familiarity with my records. Scheduling an appointment was remarkably easy. I woke up in pain this morning and was able to book a 9:00 a.m. appointment—only because I couldn’t make it at 8:00 a.m.! The entire experience was seamless—minimal wait times, no overcrowded waiting areas, and an efficient lab process. I almost hesitate to share this hidden gem, but it wouldn’t be right to keep it to myself. Dr. Michael Fortson with Piedmont Primary Care of Summerhill is now my new Primary Care Physician, and I couldn’t be more pleased with my decision.

I took my dad to this place because his usual doctor hadn’t taken his blood nor urine in years and my best friend loved the doctor here. I did not. No time for you. Can’t be bothered with you. Doesn’t want to look at the things you said you were seeing going on with your father. Wants you to make another appointment so she can fill out the paperwork you hand her so your father can get his trash picked up at the front of his house versus the street (since he has mobility issues). 5 months and many phone calls and notes in mychart later and she still hasn’t filled out that paperwork. Many phone calls and notes requesting follow-up on the referrals she said she was putting in and all you get is excuses, nastiness, and notes put into the system instead of actual referrals being correctly put into the system. Sad. The neighborhood gets Piedmont but nothing like the care that I received at the hospital that saved my life.
