Customer experiences
Decided to give this gym a try, using a 3 day free trial. I currently go to an all women’s gym and decided to give a co-Ed gym a try. After 1 day here I won’t be returning. This place is disgusting. One major thing I noticed here is that nobody wipes down equipment, and there is nothing to wipe down equipment with. No disinfectant wipes anywhere. You have these big sweaty guys touching every machine, and then another person getting on right after, no hygiene at all. Spreading germs and bacteria. Absolutely disgusting. The change rooms/showers are also filthy. I usually go to the sauna and shower after my workout at my current gym and felt too disgusted to at this gym. This gym is in serious need of some renovations and a AHS visit. I was also told on the phone that they have a designated “women’s area”. Decided to check it out and they legit got like 10 machines in there, such a limited selection. The weights went up to like 20 lbs. I left and just decided to work out in the main gym. I wouldn’t advertise a women’s area, if it is that limited in equipment. The male staff members who I spoke to were also weird and unorganized. Kept giving me looks, didn’t know what they were doing, and kept trying to push me to buy a membership. I genuinely just felt uncomfortable, this gym did not feel like a good environment. I’m all for trying new things but this was not a good experience.
Gavin and Julianne were super helpful and displayed that they knew what they were talking about. They’re very clear upon sign up about what you’re getting in terms of a membership, and overall friendly people that seem to have the best in mind for me and my goals. it didn’t feel like i was being roped into a contract and bled dry for my money, which was my main issue with other gyms.
I recently joined LA Fitness and have been really enjoying it so far! Gavin was super helpful during the sign-up process and took the time to show me around the gym. Great experience overall!
LA Fitness – Worst Customer Service Experience I've been complaining about the broken air conditioning in the women's room (private room for women)for over four months now. I go to the gym three times a week, and I’ve raised this issue multiple times >in past 4 months with the staff at the front desk. Despite all my efforts—leaving my phone number, asking for a manager to call me back—no one has followed up or taken action. The women's area is unbearably hot and smells awful. It’s uncomfortable and even hard to breathe at times. Over four months and still, they haven’t hired anyone to fix it? That’s completely unacceptable. We pay monthly membership fees plus extra annual fees supposedly for maintenance—but clearly, nothing is being maintained. Some machines stay broken for months as well. This is by far the worst gym experience I’ve ever had. I would absolutely not recommend LA Fitness to anyone.
