Gary McKinleyMy wife and I just returned from your estate sale in Petersburg Virginia. Andrew, the Manager and his associate announced a price reduction 30 minutes before the reduction was to take place. Since we were standing in line I do not believe that it was appropriate to make this announcement since those of us in line were told that we would not receive the reduction on anything that we had on the hold table. I also questioned the young associate about a price which was higher then the listed price. I then decided not to purchase the additional piece of the item for the additional cost. The young associate then said something like: YOU PEOPLE NEVER LISTEN. I then told the young man to keep everything and walked away leaving what I was going to purchase behind. Since I'm spending MY money I do not expect to have to deal with an attitude from people who are trying to sell items. We have been attending Prestige estate sales for years but will never attend another one by this company again.
Patrick McCrearyPrestige are some dishonest people. Not talking about employees, but management. Things were doing well until I found out some things. First, they were letting items walk out with employees before selling to public and setting up a tab for them. Needless to say, they probably discounted even more for them. Manager sold some ivory to his assistant manager $1,000 worth of Ivory to him for $300! Plus, last day was 50% off, but he was discounting items at 80% off with out telling me. If that was the case for employees and discount more, contract would have stated that. Honestly, that’s a breach of contract. Bad experience and stay away from them!
Robin MartinWe really enjoyed visiting the estate sale in Canterbury. The two people managing it were very friendly and professional and the sale was very well organized and run. We found some fantastic items and the prices were reasonable and in some cases negotiable. I look forward to shopping their estate sales again and would definitely consider hiring them if I wanted to offer an estate sale of my own.
