One thing I would have done, had I known how difficult the application for the Green Card would have been, would have been to hire Jesse immediately. He was kind, understanding, and helpful. When our first application was denied (because I missed some paperwork and I (obviously had never done the change of status paperwork before)) he was quick on the draw.
