Customer experiences
Came for a weekend stay and brought my 3yo toddler. It was a wonderful and memorable experience! (1) The hotel is so child friendly â We were served welcome drinks during check-in and the staff prepared an apple juice for my child. The hotel room had children's bath amenities, bathrobe and slippers ready. Went for snacks at the lounge and staff brought out some kids biscuits specially for my child. (2) We went for a swim and shortly after, the staff noticed and brought us ice water. (3) Although my birthday was a week ago, during canapĂ©s, staff surprised me with a birthday cake. (4) The room was so clean and bedsheets smells so nice. Overall, superb service by all the friendly staff!
We loved our stay at this hotel. The staff are warm and attentive. The service is personalized and they are very accommodating. And they adore children. Furthermore, it's very well located: close to everything. If you're looking for a welcoming, family-run hotel in a great location, I highly recommend this friendly establishment. Thank you for your smiles. CHHITâs family
Nestled in a quiet, leafy corner of Sentosa, The Barracks Hotel Sentosa by the Far East Hospitality group is less a hotel and more a step back in time into a beautifully restored piece of Singapore's history. This isn't your typical high-rise, glass-and-steel resort; it's an intimate, luxurious retreat that masterfully blends colonial charm with modern sophistication. The moment you pass through the guarded gates (a nod to its former life), you are transported. The hotel is comprised of three beautifully preserved, whitewashed colonial buildings from the early 20th century, originally built to house the British artillery. The ambience is one of serene, understated luxury. Itâs quiet, exclusive, and feels a world away from the bustling theme parks and beaches just a few minutes down the road. The common areas are elegantly appointed with period-appropriate furniture, whirring ceiling fans, and dark wood accents, evoking a bygone era of romance and grandeur. The overall feeling is one of being a guest in a very wealthy, historically-minded friend's private estate. The attention to detail is impeccable. The bathrooms are spacious, and the rooms are incredibly quiet, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The decor is a tasteful mix of classic and contemporary, with rich fabrics and thoughtful lighting. Expect high ceilings, tall shuttered windows, and elegant four-poster beds. The service is a standout feature. The staff-to-guest ratio is high, and the team is exceptionally well-trained. From the warm welcome to the seamless check-in and the thoughtful recommendations, the service is discreet, anticipatory, and genuinely friendly. It feels personalized rather than procedural. If you are looking for a unique, romantic, and utterly peaceful escape that still provides easy access to Sentosa's fun, The Barracks is arguably one of the most distinctive and charming hotels in all of Singapore.Thank you to the team here and see you all again next year
I had such a wonderful stay at The Barracks! The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive to every detail, they went above and beyond to make it special. During breakfast, the team surprised us with a warm birthday wish, and later during the canapĂ© session, they even organized a lovely celebration. Jeffâs special cocktail mix was amazing, and the cake they decorated was beautifully done. The housekeeping staff were also very friendly, and the overall service was truly top-notch. I loved the roomâs unique theme and the sense of history behind the building. Really touched by everyoneâs thoughtfulness and âgoing the extra mileâ service. Thank you, Gabbie, Jeff, Fatin, and JJ, for making my stay so memorable!
