Do not do business with these people. They claim to be a WBE minority when in fact the company is in the mothers name ! The mother is in her 80’s and isn’t running the business at all. Her sons Hal, Mike and Larry are the actual owners. They use the minority to get contracts they otherwise would not be able to get. There is a company called Evans landscaping from Cincinnati that was indicted earlier this year for masquerading as a minority. This practice is unfair and I urge any one who has an issue with Morefield to file a complaint with the Department Of Justice. Furthermore they do not pay the subcontractors and when it comes time for retain age payment good luck, that is if you are lucky enough to get paid at all. Pretty pathetic that you have to hide behind your elderly mother boys.
I have had excellent service working with Moorefield Construction on several projects over many years. Projects have ranged from high profile shopping centers inclusive of extensive on and offsite work to stand alone buildings. I will continue to keep them on my GC bid list and look forward to colaborating with them in the near future.
