I’m sure everything they sell is great but I’m here for the cheese. And I don’t know of anywhere else in the area that can match the variety and quality. If you can’t find a cheese to suit you here I’d be very surprised. Outstanding. (Did I remember to mention the cheese?)

As we were passing through Alderley Edge today we stopped off to get some lunch to takeaway, we asked for fresh turkey salad sandwiches which were prepared in the back of the shop. Opon opening them it was clear that the turkey meat was not fresh and not the breast we had seen and asked for! It was the darker meat that we never eat. The salad wasn't crunchy it was slightly limp and instead of butter i am 99% sure it was margarine I think ? And to add to more disappointment I found a turkey bone in my sandwich! I of course returned it for a refund . Needless to say we shall not be returning. Two very dissatisfied lost customers ! Also lastly never judge a book by its cover! I am sure you realised we had a flat tyre outside your shop , we were struggling and not one kind person offered any help or a kind word! We will go to weinholts next time . I do hope you will take this criticism to heart .

A treasure of a shop with fine wines, but also reasonably priced everyday bottles, as well as an amazing choice of cheeses, sold by friendly, knowledgeable people in this family business. Plus all the other wonderful food available here. Our very favourite local shop, and a regular stop for our weekly shopping.
