I had an awful experience with SDN LEGAL. Till today, they have witheld more than 600 CAD for services not rendered. Their negligence and lack of good faith in executing their legal mandate need to be addressed by Ordre des avocats du Québec. I didn't find them trustworthy nor reliable. A total waste of time and money.

Further to a consultation with SDN, SDN agreed to represent us and asked for a retainer from which would be paid the cost of the initial consultation and an administration fee for the opening of our legal file. The matter being urgent we heard no news from our lawyer and about four days later called SDN only to be told that our lawyer had left the firm.We asked for a new lawyer and heard news only after two additional follow up phone calls in the subsequent days to SDN at which time we we finally assigned a new lawyer who communicated with us two days later. However we were then advised by the new lawyer that she only would be able to draft an initial default letter after which time she would also be leaving SDN. At this point we withdrew our legal mandate and asked for our retainer to be reimbursed. Notwithstanding the poor services received from SDN the firm still charged us for the initial consultation and admission fee. We are very dissatisfied with the service we received.

My experience with SDN Legal and lawyer Sergey Gerasin was highly disappointing. Here are the key facts: Unjustifiable Negligence: Mr. Gerasin failed to submit a critical document on time, which led to the dismissal of my case at the Tribunal administratif du logement (TAL). Acknowledgment of the Mistake, But Inadequate Actions: While Mr. Gerasin did effectively acknowledge his mistake, his actions afterward were far from satisfactory. Instead of offering a proper solution or compensation, he only proposed a reimbursement of $195.53, which is grossly inadequate considering the substantial losses we incurred. Threats Instead of Resolution: Rather than making an effort to correct the situation, Mr. Gerasin resorted to threatening us with legal action if we didn’t remove a review with his fault, and he refused to provide any meaningful compensation for our losses. Forced to Seek Legal Recourse: Now, we are forced to pursue legal action to recover our expenses and losses. Instead of resolving one case, we are now in a much worse position than we were before. In conclusion, despite acknowledging his mistake, Mr. Gerasin’s approach to resolving the issue was highly unprofessional. If you’re considering working with SDN Legal, I would advise caution.
