The staff at HABA Salon were very welcoming and friendly, which I really appreciated. Unfortunately, my hair did not turn out how I wanted it. I tried to explain what I was going for, which were lighter brown highlights throughout all my hair, but the end result was far from what I expected. When I asked if it could be fixed, I was told I’d have to pay extra, which was really disappointing, especially since I was already unhappy with the outcome. I wish there had been more understanding or a willingness to make it right without an additional charge. I now have to find a different salon and pay another couple hundred dollars to fix what has been done and get what I wanted in the first place.

I’ve been seeing Gary since I moved to Iowa City, about two years. That makes me one of his shortest client relationships. Why? Because once you get your hair done by Gary, you will never want to go to anyone else. He is an absolutely incredible stylist. He listens, and he does an impeccable job every single time. I am always happy when I leave. Best haircuts I have ever and will ever get.

Such a good experience at Haba Salon! Lauren took the time to figure out what I wanted and had no problems making small adjustments until I loved it. Also, planning to stop back in to see what products she used because my hair has NEVER felt so soft and clean than after I left that appointment. Will be back for sure.
