I brought my dog Bear, my father’s beloved pit bull, to Summit Animal Hospital when I realized something wasn’t right. The team there was incredibly kind, compassionate, and professional from start to finish. After examining Bear and reviewing his x-rays, they gently explained that he likely had a tumor that had spread to his chest, causing what appeared to be severe bronchitis or possibly lung cancer. It was heartbreaking news, but they took the time to help me understand his condition and the options available. When the time came to make the difficult decision to let Bear go, the staff handled everything with such empathy and respect. They checked on me during and after the process, ensuring I wasn’t alone in what was one of the hardest moments of my life. I am deeply grateful for their care, compassion, and professionalism. Summit Animal Hospital helped me say goodbye to Bear with dignity and peace, and I’ll always appreciate that. 🐾💔

I have been bringing my blue nose Pitbull here for over 10 years. Yes, you will need to put half of a day aside as is it a walk in clinic but the staff is extremely compassionate, helpful and they communicate about your pet well. I unfortunately needed to make a sudden decision to put my dog to rest and Dr Nathan Runke was extremely patient, compassionate and kind as he had been seeing her the entire 10 years I’ve been going there. They gave me as much time as I needed and never once rushed the situation. The cremation services they provide are beautiful and if I decide to have another dog in the future I will forever go there. Prices are extremely reasonable and it’s local to my home. Thank you to all staff.

They do a really good job with my dog freya. she has an auto immune disease and they’ve always been as helpful as possible. i see a lot of people complaining about wait times. i think that’s unfair as this place is EXTREMELY affordable with quality care. you won’t find their prices anywhere else in the city or suburbs. where id go to other vet appointments and spend 500-1000$ , here i spend 300$ or less everytime no matter what we get done. the wait time and not being able to get someone on the phone is very worth it when youre getting extremely affordable prices on top of quality care. it is first come, first served unless you’re doing bloodwork or vaccines so keep that in mind as well.

Amazing service as always. They were able to accommodate boarding for my elder diabetic cat at the last minute right before Christmas. They always take great care with him and my other cats, I can leave and feel They are safe and in great hands.
