Very annoyed with the lack of mental health services here. I’ve reached out to them repeatedly regarding testing that I should’ve received to move forward with a treatment plan. My first appointment with the psychiatrist seem to be promising, although she let me know that she was going on vacation and that someone else will be checking in with me during the time she was gone for a month. I was also told that I would be receiving some testing to assist with a treatment plan. Never received. I’ve been waiting since January(it’s now mid-March). I kept getting appointments to speak with psychiatrist however nothing was being done with the test. The whole reason why I was supposed to speak with another psychiatrist is to go over the results of my testing now it’s been over a week since I had both my insurance company and brain health on the phone to figure out what the holdup was since they were claiming that the insurance wasn’t covering it because it required further authorization. I was told a week ago that I would hear something back within 24 hours. It is now a week later and I have not heard anything from anyone this place is truly incompetent and I can’t believe it exists! I’m going to try once and again and hopefully something happens and I’ll update my review.

I’ve been with Brain Health USA for several years now and Dr. Gonzales is by far, if not the Best Psychiatrist I’ve had. And I’ve had a Psychiatrist since I was 13 years old. He is Exceptional & has an Excellent Bedside Manner. He’s knowledgeable, Understanding, and Truly Cares about his patients. I’m so happy to have him as my psychiatrist, who I can trust, talk to & who I’ve been with for years now. Just like I highly recommended him to all my family members, I would HIGHLY Recommend him to anyone looking for an Excellent Psychiatrist in Los Angeles County. If all the Doctors in the world could be just like Dr. Gonzales, the World would be a MUCH BETTER PLACE. Brain Health USA is fortunate to have a Doctor like him working for them.

Heather Walsh was extremely rude! She asked about my eating habits and I explained I don't eat much. Right after she asked my height and weight and I answered the question. Heather Walsh proceeds to say, "oh well you must be eating right". I have PCOS a hormonal imbalance that causes weight gain. She talked over me and assumed throughout the appointment. She was late for my appointment and repeatedly cut me off. My sister had an appointment the day before me with Heather and she was rude to my sister as well. Heather Walsh was very unprofessional and never sent me paperwork I needed to fill out. I will never be a patient here again and I definitely wouldn't recommend, especially if you are African American.

I want to thank Karen for her outstanding assistance in helping me change my provider. My previous provider, Dr. Margaret, made me feel very uncomfortable by pushing her Trump-supporting political beliefs during our appointment, which I felt was highly inappropriate in a professional setting. Karen was quick to resolve the issue, helping me switch to a new provider so I wouldn’t experience any delays with my medications. Her professionalism and efficiency made a difficult situation much easier, and I’m incredibly grateful for her support. I also want to highlight my experience with Dr. Rasul. He was extremely professional and provided new information about my medication that I didn’t know before, which has been very helpful. I am very happy with the care I’ve received at Brain Health USA and highly recommend their services.
