It has been a while since I had my car serviced by Heitzman. Back in Nov 2023 I picked it up. I haven't wanted to write this review since its negative, and I really wanted to have a good experience and support a local family owned business. The folks I interacted with were great. My vehicle was t-boned by a car that was coming out of a driveway. I shopped around quite a bit. i have a red Mazda 3 and the paint color and quality was of great importance to me. After talking to a number of shops I decided Heitzman would be the best, family, local, seemed to produce high quality work and assured me the paint would be top notch. What I got back was a car that was repaired (body work done) but far worse in every measure of the paint job. - Orange peel basically everywhere they touched including the wheels. - Big patches of scratching in the clear coat. as off scrubbing something off the surface and not polishing it back down. - Wheel paint that did not match at all (they used flat instead of a metallic black) - Pin holes all over including on a door that had zero damage presumably from their poor blending work? - Clear coat flaking off less than a year after (My car is garaged 100% of the time) - Missing Mylar strips (They did offer to replace these, but at my own hassle and effort, I am busy and was unable to schedule this in a timely manner) I have unfortunately had a handful of body & paint work done on my cars, and this was by far the worst I have ever seen in my life. Unfortunately it was November when I picked it up and it was only in the light of summer that I saw all this shoddy work. I spoke with all the body shops about my expectations. How I have been burned in the past with crappy paint work and maybe I need to just find some luxury body shop in the future or something because I don't understand how this type of work is acceptable and getting five star reviews? This doesn't seem like 5-star workmanship.

This is the single most upstanding, kind and generous business I've seen in a long time. I've taken my car there twice and both times they have worked to come up with a solution that would save me money. I really appreciate finding a caring and honest company in these crazy times and I will continue to highly recommend Heitzman to any friend who needs body work. If I could leave a higher starred review i would. These guys were amazing from the very beginning all the way to the end. Insurance was trying to use cut rate aftermarket parts, and these guys fought for me to get the right oem parts installed so that it was to pre loss condition. The repairs were excellent. Looks like nothing ever happened. Ten out of ten would recommend to anyone.

I found Heitzman through my neighborhood Facebook page when I asked for recommendations to get my car repaired after being hit. I can't say enough about what a pleasure it was to deal with them. Friendly, professional, kept me informed all the way. They dealt with the other driver's insurance company for me, made getting and returning a rental car a breeze, and here's the best part - the damage was on the exterior, but when I got my car back, it was completely detailed inside! Hasn't been that clean since I drove it off the lot! Oh, and they are women-owned.
