My husband and I stayed at the Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center in September 2025 and had a wonderful experience. The hotel was beautiful and all the staff was so attentive! Herb greeted us as we walked in the door and anticipated our every need throughout the stay including taking up our luggage, getting our car in the mornings and recommending things to do in Baton Rouge. |Timothy was a great bartender and helped me select the perfect wine. He had great stories and always had a smile on his face. |I can’t wait to go back to this hotel. I’m already planning my next business trip and will definitely stay there.

I’m pregnant, my husband and I are on a road trip across the country. My sweet husband wanted to do something special for me by intentionally picking a 4 star hotel, assuming that meant the quality would be better overall. We were disappointed. Our room was on the 7th floor. That must be the pet friendly floor because as soon as the elevator opened, we were hit with a strong scent of animal urine in the hallway. It was just as strong in our room. It made my stomach turn all night. It was so strong that the next night, we were in a completely different location and I opened our suitcase and our clothes REEKED of that pet smell from the Baton Rouge Hilton hotel. Luckily I was able to wash our clothes that night and get the smell out but what if I didn’t have that opportunity, you know? On top of that, the room looked clean except for the windows. They were filthy on both sides which ruined the view of the Mississippi River which defeated the purpose of my husband picking this particular hotel. I think valet was mandatory and it costs $37 with in/out “privileges”. The hotel service was fantastic overall and the location was premium. Perfect spot to watch the sunset over the Mississippi River if you walk over there instead of look out of your filthy window.

I went to the bar during my stay for dinner and a drink. I was immediately greeted by the bartender Hannah who helped recommend a drink… she created a special mix of her own that she thought I would enjoy. Absolutely delicious i got two! She was so friendly and fun to talk too, also gave recommendations of nearby places. She made me comfortable quickly at the Hilton.

Look no further, this place has it all: tigers, a balloon artist, and a great sampling of fine art. The executive perks are excellent, and I highly recommend the bar to anyone traveling through the area. Sara is a well-rounded cocktail sommelier who was able to offer suggestions from her recent trip to the moon. While enjoying my first cocktail, I noticed Delvin was outside saving a small litter of kittens from a structure fire. He then smoked me an excellent old-fashioned with the charred embers. I’m incredibly impressed by their dedication to the service of the guests and to the small furry residents of Baton Rouge. 15/10 would return to this gem of the “Red Stick” city.
