I have been one of the unfortunate guy who couldn't complete my mom's discharge even after 8 PM. The worst coordination I have seen between doctor visit, nurse station , insurance and both inpatient and outpatient pharmacy. Not speaking about treatment here as I had a reference to this place, all I got to say is this, this place will become a relic, a thing of past if they don't change their operating speed. Does coimbatore really sort of capable people, did they lose their interest in sorting out things faster?

My father was recently referred to Hindustan Hospital for urgent kidney stone removal, following a TKR surgery at Ganga Hospital. While the hospital was clean and the staff were generally polite, our overall experience was disappointing due to poor coordination and delays. The biggest issue was the lack of proper pre-surgical evaluation. My father had been on Ecosprin 75 (a blood thinner) post-TKR surgery, but this was not identified or considered before planning the stone removal. After we got him admitted and all preparations were seemingly done, the doctors informed us that the surgery couldn’t be performed because Ecosprin needs to be stopped 5–7 days in advance. This crucial detail was missed entirely, both by Ganga Hospital (who referred us) and by Hindustan Hospital. As a result, the procedure was cancelled, causing us unnecessary stress, time loss, and financial burden. To make matters worse, when we decided to get him discharged after the cancellation, the discharge process took far too long, even though we explained that we had an emergency and only one train available to return. Due to these delays, we ended up missing our train, which added even more stress and inconvenience. Overall, the hospital needs to improve its communication between departments and significantly streamline the discharge process, especially when patients are in a time-sensitive situation.

I had my first delivery at Hindusthan Hospital under the care of Dr. Abinaya. We came to this hospital through my naturopathy doctor, and I am grateful for the experience. When my water broke at midnight, I immediately called Dr. Abinaya, and she attended to my call right away. Upon informing her about my condition, she calmly advised me to pack everything and get admitted to the hospital. The nurses were extremely prompt and began the necessary procedures as soon as I arrived. I had a membrane rupture and mucus plug discharge, but they patiently waited for my labor to progress naturally. Once the contractions began, the team closely monitored me with CTG tracking and ensured I was well taken care of. The nurses frequently checked on my pain and contraction levels, while Dr. Abinaya visited at intervals, waiting for the right moment. When I finally reached 10 cm dilation, she was right on time and assisted in delivering my baby boy via vaginal delivery. Throughout the entire labor process, the nurses were incredibly kind, efficient, and outstanding in their service. After delivery, my newborn developed jaundice, but the NICU nurses were compassionate and attentive. A special mention to Dr. Shanmugapriya, the pediatrician, whose unwavering support and dedication made a world of difference. She reassured me that my baby would recover well, and her comforting words as a new mom meant a lot to me. Overall, I had a positive and reassuring birth experience at Hindusthan Hospital, thanks to the exceptional care provided by Dr. Abinaya, the nurses, and the NICU team.
