The hotel appeared understaffed and was adamant about not letting any check-ins before 4 PM the day of the largest event in the town in 35 years. Once I checked in, the room was nice and it was a great bed, but the Wi-Fi did not work in the section of the hotel my room was in forcing me to the lobby where the internet stopped working entirely. Breakfast could have also had some additional options in my view. Probably will be looking for other options in the future.

the place is clean and pleasant. Our exhaust fan in bathroom doesn't work reported at about 8 heard from maintenance. The breakfast I apparently reused waffle batter container had to be removed from holder and poured out since dispenser was ineffectual as was syrup

The young woman at the front desk was very kind and did move me when my room had no wifi access. Unfortunately, the replacement room didn't, either. The only place any of my devices could reliably access wifi was the lobby. I had work to do online, and this was a major inconvenience. Frankly, I would have stayed elsewhere had I known the wifi was so poor. I felt like I was staying in a hotel in 2000, not 2025. Don't take my money and then tell me 'oh, it was probably storms the other day"...this kind of issue in this day and age should be disclosed at check-in. Money wasted.

The breakfast is a JOKE!!! No basic essentials like milk and cereal??? What? How can you run out of the basic and no replenishment? I believe grocery stores in Oelwein sell milk and cereal! $120 of the room rate, can’t provide the basic. Should have just stay in the Super 8!
