I don’t know if it’s the aesthetically pleasing design of the venue that makes the food taste better (haha). Either way, food is always great but more importantly, the service is always superb! Family friendly (including the menu) and great location. We have our fave dishes and cocktails. If I had to nitpick, the music is probably a always a tad loud and feel like I’m yelling over the table. However, it does add to the overall vibe. Thanks Kost team! See you soon!
Food: 4.5 Service: 4.5 Atmosphere: 4 Bang for Buck: $100pp Certified Delish: 86% Giving a coastal feel as you enter, Kost is a great spot for a fine dining experience. Particularly love the fact that they offered a garnish with your water of choice. The lobster rolls were a treat, as was the octopus. Capped off with a well seared steak that melted in your mouth. Make sure to go ham with the sides as they are all delicious.
A beautiful and delicious restaurant! I was a bit hesitant to try it out thinking the food would be average considering how beautiful the space is but they really have a beautiful menu and pay a lot of attention to details. Highlights include the beef tartare, the straciatella with grapes, the octopus, the roasted cabbage and the pineapple/ mango / coconut desert. Amazing cocktails too! Highly recommend.
We didn’t know what or where to eat, so we stumbled upon Kost Restaurant—and what a lucky find it was! The menu, inspired by coastal flavours, was a delightful surprise. We started with the Seared Scallops, which were perfectly caramelized on the outside and tender on the inside, served with a delicate citrus glaze. The Heirloom Tomato and Burrata Salad was fresh and vibrant, with creamy cheese, ripe tomatoes, and a drizzle of balsamic that tied it all together. For mains, the Mooloolaba King Prawns were a standout—juicy, smoky, and served with a zesty garlic butter sauce that complemented their natural sweetness. The service was friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. By the end of the meal, we were thrilled with our spontaneous choice. Highly recommended!
