This was my first experience working with Home Methods and Emilie did not disappoint. The original bathroom did not meet my design aesthetic, but the real catalyst for the renovation was the long list of things that impeded functionality (i.e., limited storage, plumbing concerns, lack of ventilation, etc.). After tackling function we talked design. I requested dark & moody and Emilie's design is 'me' if I had Emilie's talent. I was able to be as involved as I wanted and defer to her professional decisions on all things I didn't have the headspace for. My bathroom is now my favorite room in the house and exceeded my expectations. The before & after photos speak for themselves! I'm already thinking about my next project with Home Methods.

It was such a pleasure and wonderful experience to work with Emilie and Home Methods on our home design project! After 5 years in our house, my husband and I finally decided to update the entire main floor of our Baltimore row home. We knew it'd be challenging as we tend to have very different taste, but Emilie was so great at understanding what we each liked and helping us find some middle ground. We also loved having Emilie serve as project manager and not only finding great vendors and contractors, but also handling all the coordination with them which made the whole process so smooth and easy for us. We are so thrilled with the end result and our new living room/dining room/kitchen which now has so much more personality and is super cozy!

We worked with Emilie while renovating our primary bathroom. She is an absolute pleasure to work with. She is organized, responsive, and very talented. She worked well with our contractor and has a great list of relationships with specialty vendors and artists. With our project, Emilie had the right balance of seeing our aesthetic and sharing her vision for the space. The end result was amazing. We strongly recommend her to anyone looking for a talented designer.

I worked with Emilie on updating our walkout basement space and powder room, and I’m so happy with the result! When we first agreed to work together, she sent me a style quiz which helped to narrow down my preferences. From there she designed a few options for the powder room, which all really nailed my style completely. We went with a really funky bathroom, and I’m so thrilled with the result! Emilie also has a relationship with some great contractors, and a wallpaper specialist who did a fabulous job. Emilie is organized and responsive, and she was really helpful in troubleshooting some unforeseen challenges. For example, she helped me pick out some really great LVP floors, which were then suddenly discontinued. She quickly set me up with new similar options and I found another great one. And the biggest shock was when we discovered asbestos tile under the old carpet. Emilie immediately brought in multiple mitigation companies for quotes, and we got it taken care of immediately so that there were no delays on the original planned work. It was really nice not having to add these things to my plate, she took care of it! I would absolutely recommend Emilie to anyone doing a full renovation, or even a more simple one like new floors, I’m really pleased with the outcome and with my overall experience working with her!
