I had the absolute pleasure and honor of being the proverbial 'guinea pig' at the Dec 22, 2024, Quill Hawk Publishing Holiday party. I published my first photo book, The Beauty of Imperfection, in July 2023. So far, I’ve sold maybe seven copies. Why? Because no one knows about me or my book—I have no social media presence, so no one can find me. Loc Bui took a good, hard look at both of my Facebook pages and didn’t hold back when pointing out what was wrong with them. “Where are your photos?” he asked. “Why aren’t you posting regularly? Why are other people’s posts on your page? Why isn’t your book, along with a link to order it, featured on the banner?” The critique could have felt overwhelming, but Loc has this incredible way of being honest without making you feel bad about what you don’t know. He shared practical advice on how to fix these issues and helped eliminate my fear of social media—especially the concern that it would strip away my privacy. As he pointed out, that ship sailed the moment we joined the internet! Loc also introduced us to tools like ChatGPT, which he demonstrated with expertise. (I call mine Sam, and yes, it’s a tool, but if used correctly, it’s a gold mine of information.) Having an ADHD brain means I’m easily distracted, plus I’m a champion procrastinator, but with Loc’s guidance, I’m confident things will improve. He’s amazing, and I’m so grateful to have met him and learned from his expertise. If your business is in need of a serious reboot, I can’t recommend Loc and Media Vines Corp enough. They’re the real deal.
