A great little bar with pool table, darts board , sports TV and friendly service with a good selection of drinks. Lovely food too . Parking is the only negative but well worth the walk .

This is strictly a local knowledge and mostly for locals venue. I've met my karate instructor (sensei) here on occasion as he lives near-by and the beer is tolerable (Otter & Doombar on the latest visit) One of the unique features of the place is a pool table that rises under power, from under a small dance floor. There's a skittle alley and a decent beer garden, on those rare occasions when the weather is good, but parking is non existent. The owner is also the proprietor of Centurian Travel, a few of his coaches are lagaared across the road from the pub - it's easy to assume where they have the staff Christmas knees up. Most newcomers will turn heads when first entering, but the staff and patrons are affable enough and the atmosphere is amiable.
