The staff here were very polite, amiable and kind. They treated me with such kindness. I would return here again no problem. The room is fantastic because it is a very authentic looking room from México. The toiletries are fantastic! The small handmade soaps and the shampoo which has honey 🍯 in it were a nice touch to the stay. I really like this hotel. Its mich more personable than larger hotels.

Amazing boutique hotel!|I absolutely love Cielo. Exceptionally clean room with Mexican natural decor and tasteful colors, handmade soap and shampoos in the room and great housekeeping service. Powerful air conditioning and super comfortable king-size bed (I stayed in room 11 with two terraces)! The rooftop to have some quiet time or watch the sunrise. Overlooking the sea that is only one block away. The washroom with a real piece of art door on the roof. The location is excellent, just in the heart of everything: the beach, the sea, the bus hub, where you can take a bus with air conditioner from Cancun airport to Playa for only $12 (one way) and back, the stores, restaurants... I was very pleased with the attentiveness and friendly staff at this hotel: Alberto (my favorite), Leticia, Fernando (the waiter at the restaurant Carboncitos), etc. They get to know you by name, knowledge of the area and assistance with all requests. If you are lucky, you can meet the owner - Steven, who will answer all your questions or concerns. Don’t forget to try at the restaurant Carbonsitos the authentic Mexican cuisine and drinks! |I truly recommend Hotel Cielo to anyone looking for a wonderful place to stay.|Hotel Cielo.... Thanks for a great short vacation and I can't wait to go back.

I first stayed at Hotel Cielo in November 2024, when I went to Playa del Carmen for dental work - White Coast Dental recommended them and they have a special rate if you're coming for dental work if you call the hotel directly. I was there approximately 10 days and it was wonderful. The location and price can't be beat, 1 block from the ocean and in the middle of EVERYTHING! |This is a small "boutique" hotel with only 20-25 rooms. The beds are incredibly comfortable, the towels are large & absorbent, the water pressure is great and there is a fabulous restaurant (La Carboncito) in the hotel. There is a 7-11 about 10 steps from the front desk, where you can get your morning coffee & snacks and a pharmacy kitty corner to the 7-11. If you're expecting a coffee pot, microwave, or refrigerator in your room, you need to look at a much higher priced hotel....I didn't find any of these a necessity.|Air conditioner is a necessity and each room has one.|Because it borders 5th Ave (the Malecon), you are literally surrounded with restaurants, shops, luxury stores, art, museums, salons, massages, etc. and every kind of store you could imagine. The ferry dock to Cozumel is about 3-4 blocks (5-7 min walk) and the ADO bus station is only about 2 blks (the bus is great for taking "side trips" to Cancun, Tulum, Bacalar, etc. and very inexpensive)|I got to know the owners (Steve & Alejandra) - who are definitely NOT absentee landlords....besides being just amazing people - they are there every day and involved in the running of, and welcoming atmosphere of the hotel. Many of their customers are REPEAT and return time and again. |Alberto (Beto) the Front Desk Manager is an absolute jewel - besides being such a great person, he is helpful, accommodating, knowledgeable and truly cares about everyone who passes through their doors.|I just returned to finish my dental work in May '25 (16 days) and felt like I was "coming home". I like being part of the HOTEL CIELO family!

I came to Playa del Carmen for dental work. The Hotel Cielo was recommended to me and it surpassed all of my expectations. Incredibly clean rooms, air conditioning, hot shower. The friendliness of the staff made you feel at home.Covered terrace over looking the ocean. Restaurant downstairs which I didn’t eat at due to the dental work. I would highly recommend the Hotel Cielo to anyone.
