Customer experiences
Excellent service. Ran some electrical work and put in a tankless water heater for me. Stayed late to finish the job and didn't just leave for the day. Franko supplied me with a full list of of materials needed so I could buy and apply my discount and not have any mark up. Highly recommend them if you need work done!
A transportation service backed into my brick light post and knocked it off it's base. The company hired House Doctors to fix the post. I was a bit hesitant, as I am a Realtor and had negative experiences in the past when referring them to do work for my clients. The job took them 2 months to complete. They cited several different excuses - workers called in sick, couldn't match the brick (I had extra brick, so that wasn't the issue). I would be promised that someone would be out the next day, but nobody would show. At other times they would show up unannounced. The only way I knew they were there is because my camera notified me on my phone. I always had to call for updates when I saw there was no forward movement. They never reached out proactively to let me know the worker would not arrive or even when they were planning to arrive. The lack of communication is a big issue for me. When they finally completed the rebuild of the brick, I discovered that the light was not functioning. I found that it was tripping the breaker when the switch was turned on. I had to call my electrician to analyze the situation. He found that a wire had been cut at some point. He was able to fix it for $60. I attempted to call them for 2 days after the light was finally functioning to let them know that I would expect to be paid $60 for the expense of having to hire an electrician to fix their mistake. Nobody answered the phone for 2 days. I left several messages without a response. My husband and I drove to their office to find a worker outside, who told us that Angie (office staff) was out sick and Franko (owner) was down the street working on a sign. We drove to the place where Franko was working and told him the situation and that we expected to be reimbursed for the money that we were out of pocket fixing their mistake. His response was that he would have to pay us out of his own pocket because he doesn't pay for jobs done by a 3rd party that could have been done by his crew. If his crew hadn't cut the wire and went home as if all was well with the light, we wouldn't have had to hire a 3rd party. There are several issues that need to be addressed: 1. Poor communication 2. Length of time to complete the task 3. Holding the homeowner responsible for having to pay to fix their work. 4. Poor customer service - even whey the office worker is out sick, someone should be monitoring the voice mail and at least acknowledging. I stopped referring them a few years ago. I will never refer this company or use them personally.
I had repairs done for water damage in my garage and had such a good experience with the whole process that I had them come back and remodel my basement bathroom. The crew was friendly and updated me throughout the repairs. Jai did a great job with the drywall and painting, and offered advice on how to prevent more damage in the future. The bathroom remodel was done by Guy. It was obvious that Guy had a lot of experience with tile and remodels and he gave great advice to help me pick out grout color and tile for the floor and shower. He was very patient and helpful, and completed the job faster than I had expected. Great experience. I’ll be using their services again in the future.
True to their word! Angie delivered when she said she would send the estimate over when she got it, and I had it by the end of the day after. Danny's professionalism went even further. It started as soon as he entered my home and seen my dogs were put up. Which I do when having "Professional guests." He insisted on saying hi, and I was able to leave them out for the remainder of the visit. He, I assume, wanted to make sure they knew he was a guest in "Their" house. So instead of getting barking constantly for the time he was here, we had just a normal Thursday evening. His work was even better. He did everything in a timely fashion and it looked like the problem was never there. Not only did he make sure he cleaned everything he had dirtied. He even used a personal fan to make sure it was dry, and looked to its best. Even coming back inside once more to add a coat of paint because it wasn't up to his standards yet. I will use this service for any other home repairs needed. and will be recommending Danny, and his employer to everyone who has a problem. Thanks guys.
