We are SO happy with our ensuite bathroom renovation. It was a big job with walls being moved or added and we were impressed with how smoothly everything went. Everyone was helpful - from choosing all the fixtures to helping us with placement of the accessories. Every person who came to the house introduced themselves and were polite and friendly. There was never a bin in the driveway - at the end of every day they removed any trash and we never felt that the renovation was a hassle. And the results! I was concerned that the porcelain tile that we chose required an artist’e eye to install and Eric did a great job! Check out the pictures!

I went to Household Plumbing to get advice from a plumber on staff to connect my p trap to my new vanity drain. I put it together from this first plumbers advice only find out later that the connection WASN’T to CODE. So I returned to them at Household Plumbing for more parts and some advice to correct this situation. The second plumber that could be pictured in the attached pic his solution to my predicament. Consequently he gave me the wrong parts and the wrong information. This my situation, you judge by how you are received at the counter at the back.

I hired Household Plumbing for a full bathroom renovation including a custom shower. Nineteen years later, the shower started leaking. When we investigated, we found the wall panels were glued directly to untreated plywood — no waterproofing membrane, no cement board, no protection. It was a disaster waiting to happen. Their only line of defense was silicone caulking, which eventually failed and caused significant water damage. When I called them for help, they refused responsibility. Their main excuse? "Other companies do it that way too." In other words, they know the job wasn’t to code but defend it by saying corners get cut all the time. I asked them directly if they were willing to stand behind their work — they said no. They charged me to open the shower, confirmed the leak, and walked away. If you're considering hiring Household Plumbing, watch them like a hawk. They will cut corners, skip proper waterproofing, and then deny accountability when things go wrong. Do not trust them. Once they are paid, you are on your own.

Customers beware. We came in asking a man behind the counter about buying blue toilet seat hinges. told us those aren't around anymore. maybe so. then we asked for basic white ones. he said it's impossible to buy those separate, you can only get them if you buy a whole new toilet seat. this raised some eyebrows. he repeated it a few more times, we thanked him, he didn't reply and we left the store. moments later we ordered hinges off the big online store, meanwhile CDN tire just didn't have them in stock. Yeah, okay buddy. Those were some dirty moves. Taking advantage of the ignorance of the common person is a bad look for the store. 2 stars because the store looks nice and a lady was very helpful last time we came by. We'll be looking for a new store though.
