I am an international (F1) student, and I had the privilege of working with Mr. Anthony Lopez at HCC. From the start, he went above and beyond to help me and my brother during a very stressful situation. We had received incorrect information in online meetings with F1 advisors, who told us we did not need to apply for courses ahead of time. When we arrived, Mr. Lopez immediately stepped in and helped us find the right classes and register for them in a very short amount of time. His support, professionalism, and knowledge made a huge difference. Without his guidance, we would not have been able to continue our studies at HCC. What impressed us most was how well-informed he is about different academic backgrounds—when we explained that we were IB students, he knew exactly which courses we were exempt from and helped us plan accordingly. Mr. Lopez is not only extremely helpful but also genuinely cares about students’ success. We are very grateful for everything he has done for us, and I highly recommend him to any student in need of guidance at HCC.

This campus is where I started my HCC journey! I would like to give a shoutout to some of the staff there! They are the ones you want to talk to because they have a "GET IT DONE" attitude and they are always came through for me. Juanita Berry! Belinda Simples! Courtney Edwards!! These are some of the most exceptional HCC Staff members that helped me along my journey! This campus is full service, they have advisors, all student services, a bookstore, library and cafe! On any given day there could be an event as each month is comprised of multiple celebrations of people! There is also an ESL department here for students that need to learn English and start there journey!! Love the Hayes campus!!!

This is a good campus like all the other campuses. The book store is very small and limited. It gets very cunjusted inside. The library is extra cold. Since I go there about every day, I feel like I'm freezing to death and can't even write. The new building is very amazing. The only professor I only took at this place was a very stupid person, he couldn't really teach. I like their parking, classes and outdoor area. And also love the fact that they have trees inside the campus.

As a new college student, I expected a little more guidance and support, but my experience at the HCC Hayes location was honestly disappointing. The advisors didn’t make me feel welcomed at all. In fact, I felt completely dumb and dismissed for asking questions. There’s clearly a lack of communication and consistency among the staff. My friend and I went in together, and we got completely different answers from our advisors about the same issue. I was told I could only get help at another location, while my friend was told she could get help anywhere. Make it make sense?! On top of that, the advisor I spoke with had a really bad attitude and didn’t seem interested in helping at all. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this location if you’re looking for clear information or respectful treatment. Definitely look into another campus if you want to be taken seriously and supported as a student.
