I’ve used Howdens in Andover Hampshire, (also known previously as A-Plan), for over 20 years whenever possible. I know this is not always possible on every occasion, but it really suits me personally to actually speak to a real, knowledgeable person at the other end of the phone rather than having to email or text some Ai bot these days. I have tried purely on-line insurance companies in the past a few times, ostensibly by trying to save money which in my experience was very hit and miss, due to having to navigate the inflexibility of these systems. I know that if I need advice, have a problem or need to make any changes to my policies or make a claim that I only need to call one number and they will give me support along with excellent service. They are brokers that trawl providers and in the majority of cases get you the best price they can, along with getting me better cover and peace of mind that online providers can’t match. Sadly, I have had the need to make a claim some years ago with my car being written off by another motorist and a windscreen claim through them and everything went through swiftly and with no issues. Overall I’m very happy knowing that if, in future I do need assistance they are there at the end of the phone.
