First time using Marcelo and his team. My project was small - replace my front door's old weatherstripping with new stuff that would proect against cold, winter drafts, and add a storm door chain to my fairly recently installed storm door. I could have done both tasks myself, but since I haven't gotten around to it, and life goes on, evidently, I needed help. 😂😉 So I booked Marcelo. Ideal Handyman has great reviews, and he's local to Hudson. I'm hoping for a good handyman and someone who can even tackle some home renovations, and it looks like Ideal fits the bill. I thought the quote for this small job was high, but I didn't try to negotiate - thinking that once we establish a relationship, and I bring more work, Marcelo will feel comfortable with me and provide me with estimates that align closer with what I think I should pay. He showed up on time. He's friendly, and I immediately felt comfortable with him and his team of 3 (total). They did the job nicely and quickly. Great work on this small, straightforward, simple job. I paid via Venmo which is convenient. I look forward to hiring Ideal again.

My first time doing business with Marcelo and The two guys doing the job, they were very conscientious putting down tarps as not to track dust all over the house. Their work was top-notch. I will definitely use Marcelo/Ideal Handy Man again we have neighbors who asked for their number and I don’t give it out lightly. I have to be satisfied and I totally was. Thanks again. Probably the best thing I can say about Ideal Handyman is that I was going to give them 4 stars . . . now I wish I could give them more than 5. I had Marcelo and his group do a bunch of odds and end repairs at my house as well as pressure cleaning and a playset removal. To be honest, I feel that their pricing is on the high end and so I was skeptical to use them at first. My only criticism of them was that one of the fixes (a shower trim replacement) needed parts that could have been ordered when I accepted the quote - it was not. Instead it was ordered when the showed up to do the other work . . . which caused a big lag in getting all of the work done. : ( HOWEVER, these guys show up when they say they will, work the ENTIRE time they are there, are professional, polite, check in with you when the work is done, AND come back if there are any issues with their repairs (no charge). On top of that they are HONEST. For the shower trim mentioned above, I found a replacement and bought it. Because materials were part of my quote and their replacement never arrived, they got a refund for the part they ordered . . . which they passed on to me. They did not try to hide that they got a refund, nor was I hassled about parts cost/refunding. That is what I value - people I can TRUST. If paying a little more means I get the peace of mind that they will work on it to my satisfaction and will not try to take advantage of me, I'll happily pay a little more.

Marcello and his team were excellent. Polite and considerate in their work ethic, they were easy to have in the house while the kitchen was being re-modelled. The quality of the their work was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. They answered questions, problem solved any unexpected things that arose and I would not hesitate to recommend the Ideal handy man.
