Customer experiences
Visited a few weeks ago for a work dinner with colleagues after hearing them rave about the food, and I’m glad to say it lived up to the hype. Since we had a large group, we ordered a wide variety of dishes to share, which gave us a great taste of the menu—and honestly, everything was a hit, even the desserts. Our server went above and beyond with excellent wine recommendations and pairings that really elevated the whole experience. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a quality meal in the city.
Absolutely amazing restaurant. The vibe, the flavors—everything was exceptional. I visited on my anniversary, and we had a wonderful experience. We truly enjoyed both the food and the service. Our server explained and recommended each dish in detail, which made it even more special. I’ll definitely be back to try more from the menu!
I had the pleasure of enjoying a delightful lunch at Portale for Easter, and it truly exceeded my expectations. The restaurant featured a special Easter menu, showcasing an array of unique dishes that were both intricate and bursting with flavor. The service was impeccable, with the staff being exceptionally attentive and attentive to every detail. Among the standout dishes, the branzino was exquisite, perfectly cooked with a crispy skin and tender flesh that melted in your mouth. However, the chicken absolutely took center stage—it was roasted to perfection, with a beautifully caramelized exterior that gave way to succulent, juicy meat. Each bite was an extraordinary experience, practically dissolving on the palate. Overall, it was a flawless dining experience that left me thoroughly satisfied. Thank you, Portale, for such a remarkable Easter lunch!
The entry is uniquely wrapped around the interior so you instantly get a feel of the place. The service was friendly and staff were kind. The pork chops are cooked to perfection. The only negative I had was their meatballs. They were slightly cool and not served hot. Felt like it was made to go. For high end meatballs I prefer hotter to colder. For example: sizzling in cast iron rather than slightly warm.
Il Mulino New York - Uptown is a fine dining restaurant.
