Medical staff are fantastic. They are caring, on time and explain everything really well. The fact that same-day appointments are available is fab and means you never have to worry about whether your medical issue will be dealt with and when. Waiting times on the phone are not long and generally staff are really efficient. Pharmacists are great too and really helpful when it comes to any prescription enquiries. Sometimes receptionists can be a bit hit and miss in terms of their knowledge and the information which is given out.

I cannot praise Ilkley & Wharfedale Medical Practice highly enough. The level of care provided is truly outstanding. The GPs go above and beyond to ensure patients feel listened to and supported, offering not only exceptional medical care, but also genuine compassion and kindness.

Some of the staff are really nice at this gp, but you can tell that they are overworked. But other than this there are no positives to this GP. They have let me down repeatedly, once when going through a mental health crisis the GP/owner told me that I quote "have drugs and what more could I possibly want." It a very condescending tone to not me but my mother. And now a few of the staff have removed me from the practice after me and mum explained why it would be best for me to stay there, along with many medical staff saying the same, as well as there being a note on my file saying to not remove me. Not only this, but I was not made aware of my removal until I was trying to sort out my repeat prescription online, where I as told I couldn't order my drugs because I was no longer connect to any GP practice. Me and my mum have been trying to sort this out for the past 2 weeks, the receptionist keep telling us to wait a couple days and we will be called, but this never happened. So I have been forcefully removed from the medical system that I should trust and that should my first place to go to when sick. Honestly my faith in the health care system is failing, especially after years of waiting lists for multiple conditions as well as not being taken seriously. Please reconsider before joining this practice.

Since joining this practice, after my practice of 30 years changed their boundary, I have had nothing but positive experiences. The front staff have always been incredibly patient, empathetic, and generous with their time. Every doctor or nurse I have seen has been competent, timely, and helpful, for both me and my seven month old son. I am really pleased, in the state of the current nhs, to have a reliable place to go where I feel cared for and respected, which has been so rare in recent years.
