Impact Staffing

My experience with Aerotek has been a joke and a waste of my time. I get a call from Amanda Wilson who tells me about this new job. Says pay is good, it's Monday-Friday, the hours are from 7:30-4:30, and it was in a climate controlled warehouse. (I make sure to ask that in any warehouse opening because I refuse to work in those conditions again.) I fill out all the paperwork online and go to the orientation. I'm in a room with maybe 10 other people and Amanda is going over the job. She starts telling us about attendance and how it's important (obviously) and how they are already behind in the work and that we should have started yesterday. Continuing on, she informs us that calling and saying your child is sick and you need to take them to the doctor is not a legitimate excuse. Are you kidding me? I felt insulted just by that statement! Clearly this woman doesn't have children! Adding in that having a flat tire isn't believable. Before, she told me that the job hours were from 7:30-4:30, now it's 7:30-5:00. She wanted to tell me I was wrong for saying that's 9 hours of work instead of agreeing with her saying it's 8 hours... I did graduate, not only high school but with a degree. I can count... Not telling us until the day before, it is a requirement that you buy and wear steal toe boots.. a day before! This is NOT a climate controlled warehouse; you cannot even wear shorts! I was called "spoiled" for previously working in a warehouse that did have climate control. Of course I declined the offer as I would never want to work for someone of that nature. My suggestion to Aerotek is to review your recruiters more, completely unprofessional and uncalled for.

This has been one of the worse experiences in my life. For one Kevin is never in the office won't answer emails calls etc. My recruiter Oni is the only person who cares and is good at his job. They place me with the Vendor Vanguard who's reputation is a joke. I was there three weeks and this vendor refused to give me access to Volvo and their information so I could do the job. No uniforms nothing. I was supposed to get my first check there were errors on both Aerotek side and Vanguard. After running around trying to resolve the issue I got my firsr paper check a week late and almost didn't get my second one. They didn't set my manager up for the online time sheets. Payroll even admitted to the error. Then the attitude this vender has for temps was pure disgusting. He told me after 12 years of experience in the field that paying me $23 was too much. There was a guy who had almost 20 years in and they wanted to bring him in at $22. This is a insult and Aerotek shouldn't allow this. I have one more check to get since Vanguard wasted my time and ended my contract. We'll see how it goes. Vets stay away.

Initially applied but but no reply, so i sent a email. Kierra was very helpful, things were going good. Got scheduled for orientation, took my drug screen. So it seemed that i had the job. Everything was going good. But, because of my background, i couldn't start work. I had been in contact with kierra and everything, but once my background came back, i didn't get a call, email or anything. I was ignored, and just got a letter from the screening company, explaining i wasn't going to be hired. Thing is they sent me a form, to explain why i should be hired. My conviction didn't have anything to do with the position. Shame, because i thought this was a good company, and was ready to start work.
