One of the Best Home Service Experiences I Have Had in recent times. When one of our garage door extension springs broke over the weekend, we initially contacted a couple of “highly rated” companies with glowing online reviews—many of which didn’t even have a physical address. The quotes we received were surprisingly high, and something about the process didn’t sit right with us. That’s when we decided to go with a truly local business—Independent Garage Door of Worcester—a company with a real address and their reviews sounded genuine. From the very first phone call, I was impressed. They asked detailed questions about the issue and patiently explained the process and pricing, offering a clear, itemized estimate. Mike (co-owner) and his associate came out the very next day. They were fantastic—professional, friendly, and highly skilled. They replaced the broken springs, the pulleys, and serviced the door and had the door working like new. Not only that, they proactively checked the second garage door, replaced its springs as a preventative measure, and serviced the pulleys (which were still in good shape and they said it didn’t need replacement). The total cost was around $300—including the service call (roughly one hour for two people, 110$) and the replacement parts (two sets of springs and some pulleys). Extremely fair and transparent pricing. This was hands down one of the best experiences I’ve had with a home service provider. Mike and his team were honest, took pride in their work, and clearly cared about their reputation. It’s rare to find such genuine, dependable professionals these days—but I’m so glad I found one in Independent Garage Door. I recommend them wholeheartedly!

Fast, great price, nice guy, amazing job. Our garage door was sticking and looked like it was going to rip itself off the walls any minute. He fixed it in no time and now it slides on the rails like a hot knife through butter. *chef’s kiss*

Excellent, honest, prompt, affordable garage repair services. I had the Independent Garage Doors crew come to inspect and replace some damaged hardware in my door this morning. I ended up being very glad I called a professional rather than try to handle it myself. The technician noticed multiple other issues with my door setup that would have eventually caused problems, and immediately went about fixing them. He explained what he was doing clearly, and educated me on some basic maintenance and other warning signs to look for. When one of my door springs snapped halfway through the work, the technicians handled it gracefully, and were back within less than an hour with brand new ones (that were actually the correct size, unlike the originals). When all was said and done, the technician apologized for going over the original estimate, but despite everything the final invoice still came in significantly under what I had originally expected. I'm just happy to have a garage door I can have a little more confidence in, and a work crew I can trust the next time something goes wrong! Highly recommend this company! Thanks!

Cannot recommend these folks enough! I had a spring break on my old garage door, and Mike was able to come out the next day and get the work done (in addition to some much needed maintenance and TLC on the door!). Mike was punctual, courteous, professional, and did a great job explaining everything to someone who knows basically nothing about garage doors. 10/10, would definitely use again!
